Renton Transit Center

The Renton Transit Center is one of several projects planned to promote revitalization of the downtown city core of Renton. To this end, the Merritt+Pardini team coordinated the project with adjacent concurrent projects, addressing concerns with multiple key stakeholders, and leading public involvement workshops.

The operational layout of the transit center consists of a "T" intersection plan and includes 12-bay capacity and amenities for King County Metro and Sound Transit operations. Some of the design considerations were to incorporate a "craftsman" theme, integrate art into the project, plan for future adjacent parking or development, and consider streetscape elements that may be carried through in other areas of the City.
